We are searching for an exceptional Associate Director User Experience to join our team within our New York of G2 USA!



The Associate Director, User Experience, is responsible for leading consulting engagements that involve developing client business requirements, defining target customer end user groups, and providing the user-centered design direction for multiple engagements. You will develop and implement project approaches that include client information sessions, customer and user research, competitive analysis and secondary research. You will utilize your extensive knowledge of UCD best practices to ensure that business requirements and customer requirements are equally satisfied. You will develop new methods of improving the experience of our clients’ customers, and direct other UXAs and Associate UXAs in the implementation of those methods. Where necessary you will perform requirements gathering and analysis, customer research, information architecture and interaction design. You will be responsible for the overall quality of all UX work on multiple engagements.



The ideal candidate:



•Meet with clients to gather business requirements and define business objectives
•Develop an approach that fits each client’s unique needs, timeline and budget, while maximizing the end-customer experience.
•Research the competitive landscape and make recommendations relating to website functionality
•Plan and conduct, or direct, customer research in the form of contextual inquiry, usability testing, cognitive walkthroughs and remote observation
•Utilize usability-related research services, theories and methodologies to support your recommendations
•Develop the overall UX vision for multiple engagements, including high-level information architecture and interaction design.
•Document information architecture and interaction design by developing site maps, wire frames, prototypes and storyboards.
•Act as the user-advocate during the development process, subjecting early-stage development artifacts to usability testing or expert review, and providing design and implementation direction from a user-centered perspective.
•Interface with clients’ internal creative and technical staff, as well as G2’s creative and technical staff, to ensure that website designs meet both client and end user needs


Requirements:

•Develop an overall plan and approach to specific projects with minimal input from clients, and adapt those plans as needed based on timeline and budget constraints.
•Document and analyze business requirements and gain consensus on them.
•Understand internet best practices across major verticals including Healthcare & Pharmaceutical, Financial Services, Entertainment & Leisure, Technology & Telecommunications, Consumer & Retail, and Business-to-Business.
•Complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines.
•A Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science or closely related discipline such as Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology (Cognitive or Experimental), Interface Design, or Computer Science; and five to seven years of relevant work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is required.
•6 + years experience working in an ad agency. · Available work portfolio demonstrating UX case studies and associated deliverables
