Full-time Information Architect

Group Overview
This role is part of the Global Transaction Banking (GTB) Technology organization within the DBGT Cary Office. GTB is heavily dependent on web-based applications that are used by tens of thousands of corporate and FI clients and thousands of internal users. The systems provide access to the bank’s cash management, treasury, payments, trade finance, FX, money markets, issuer and investor services products.

DB’s is a leader in many of these markets with fantastic execution capability and global footprint in more than 70 countries. These tools are the main mechanism for doing business across our $4 billion division. These applications are often used by clients for hours a day- they are fundamental tools that our clients need to do their jobs. Team and Role Description
The User Experience Team uses the latest technologies and methodologies to create new products and transform legacy web and mobile applications. The team is responsible for product design, development and delivery of the future GTB application suite and plays an integral part in the our customers‘ overall experience with the GTB business. We interact with both product management and customers in order to provide innovative solutions that make our customers both productive and excited about doing business with DB.

The Information Architect will be responsible for providing thought leadership and insight to business and user problems through user-centered interactive design best practices. On a day-to-day basis, they participate in cross-functional teams made up of business analysts, product owners, designers and technical leads to provide to provide a innovative intuitive system experience. This role is ultimately responsible for developing and communicating detailed design and requirements through all stages of the product design and development process. They will create flows, wireframes, visual comps and lo-fi interactive prototypes. The ideal candidate is a highly creative thinker, bringing ideas to the team to deliver product features in aggressive timelines, and will collaborate with other members of the global GTB team, including visual designers, developers, analysts and product development teams to produce compelling world-class user experiences that delivers measurable ROI.

Responsibilities and Attributes
• A proactive self starter with an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with an ability to envision and plan complex interactions into simple UI interfaces, and can see the implications of decisions on overall site systems and experiences.
• Experience with Visio, Powerpoint, Balsamiq, Photoshop, and/or other design/prototyping tools
• Solid comprehension of information design, UI best practices, HTML, CSS, and Javascript, and the capabilities of browsers and design constraints on the web
• Define site architecture and navigation that serves as a blueprint of the site upon which all other aspects are built. Delivering wireframes, site maps, process maps, feature lists, mockups, visual specification, working prototypes and other artifacts to describe the intended user experience.
• Helps designs and implement site standards and interaction frameworks
• Ability to quickly determine the business functions and how they apply to the customer
• Comfortable working with a Agile development process
• Can express optimal experiences measured in terms of usability, intuitiveness, consistency, business metrics and time to market
• Experience observing user research and translating user research into design decisions
• A team player with the ability to be an integral part of brainstorming/concepting sessions


Technologies:
• Knowledge of architecture-related software (Illustrator, Visio, Photoshop, SQL Server, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, iRise, Balsamiq)
• Strong knowledge of site design; mastery in principles of Web design
• Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology
• Working knowledge of User Centered Design Principles and Practices
• Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills
• A Detail-oriented individual who is compfortable working in an Agile development environment where teams will be working at different paces
• Familiarity with analyzing Omniture, Tealeaf or other site path analysis tools a plus

Experience and Education
• 5-8 years working as an Information Architect
• Significant experience woring on complex mobile and web development projects
• Proven experience in a leadershiprole
• Undergraduate Degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent diploma / work experience)
• Profound analytical skills
• Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrix structures in a fast paced environment
