Senior Interactive Developer
at CBS in San Francisco
The Senior Interactive Developer is a key role in the Central Marketing Creative team. This role bridges front and back-end development. The Senior Interactive Developer will work closely with the Creative and Marketing teams to develop and support rich media advertisements, create new ad products, deliver dynamic micro-sites, develop web services, as well as provide technical documentation and support. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker who exudes passion for advertising and technology innovation. In addition, they will be a self-starter, who is comfortable with a fast-paced team environment, and has a strong desire to work in online advertising.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Interactive development is integral to a creative team that includes advertising and marketing innovations, idea concepting, production and development.
• Work collaboratively with the creative team, marketing, sales, operations, product development and other cross-functional groups within the organization
• Front-end development including Flash, HTML, JS and CSS production
• Building and maintaining commercial websites and complex flash applications
• Contributor to companywide ad innovations
• Maintenance of corporate websites
• Partners with Corporate Marketing, Ad Operations and Product Managers to develop industry leading advertising products
• A digital evangelist/enthusiast who passionately keeps up with what’s new and is always ahead of the curve
• Builds strong working relationships with coworkers, direct reports, internal and external customers, as well as executive management
• Full testing of code produced and complete de-bugging prior to launch
• Post launch analysis including documentation, accounting and performance analysis
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Fluent in Rich Media production duties including Actionscript 2/3, XML
· Fluent in online production including ActionScript, DHTML, PHP, MySQL, and relevant frameworks
· Ability to translate strategic marketing goals into deliverables, and turn deliverables into executions quickly and with precision
· Understanding of interactive measurement and reporting
· Four year degree in Computer Science or related subject, or equivalent training and experience
· 5-10 years experience with OOP and version control systems
· Experience both working with and developing web services on the LAMP stack
· Detail and quality obsessed
· Ability to work in a small, dynamic programming team with numerous responsibilities
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills
· Proven problem solver
· Experience with content management systems
· Familiarity with IAB Standards
