Information Architect - Contract in the Midlands

Summary:
Working within the planning team and responsible for defining optimal user experiences across design and build, ecommerce, advertising, email, social media, search and mobile applications (to name a few). Agency experience preferred. Good understanding of SEO and accessibility required. Experience of working with CMS systems.
Key tasks & responsibilities:
Create IA deliverables (sitemaps, wireframes, content matrix, functional specifications, etc.)
Present IA documents in client meetings
Revise documents based on client or team feedback
Gather business requirements and objectives of the project
Identify and understand the target audience and their goals
Generate user profiles, personas, scenarios and user flows
Conduct expert website reviews and content audits
Perform competitor site reviews and produce written reports on your findings
Assist in the preparing of pitch presentations and documents
Work with the creative and technical teams to design navigation, interactions, functionality and data flows
Work with client services team to organise content and ensure instructional text is clear
Articulate to team the reasoning behind decisions in all IA deliverables
Estimate IA scope and work to support project management
Advocate for the user throughout the project life cycle
Keep up-to-date with the latest best practice in user experience and IA deliverables and share this knowledge with the relevant teams
