About the Job

The Web Developer will play a key role in contributing to the company success through online Web site development for our ecommerce driven Web sites. Qualified candidates will enjoy working in a fast paced team environment that is passionate about their work and results their work contributes to the company. Must be quick learner that is detailed oriented and a team player.

Tasks & Activities
•Take designed Photoshop comps of Web pages and produce them into HTML/CSS pages.
•Code Web Standards XHTML/CSS.
•Work with MarketLive ecommerce platform.
•Handle the XHTML/CSS and JavaScript production needs for the Beachbody Web sites.
•Prepare and setup A/B and multivariate tests.
•Test Web pages in all browsers on different operating systems for consistent compatibility and user experience.
•Use Photoshop to slice/export images.
•Use Photoshop and other tools to fully optimize and compress images to the smallest possible file size while retaining the best possible quality.
•Use Photoshop to make any minor image changes as requested.
•Utilizes the MarketLive ecommerce platform for:
o Adding display pages.
o Creating source codes.
o Editing/Removing/Adding products and other elements on the website.
o Creating new products/SKUs.
o Creating/Adding/Editing Upsell streams.
•Access BrightCove CDN to get code for online videos used in Web pages.
•Use 3rd party tools to encode links for click tracking.
•Build products and content in Amazon Seller Central.
•Optimize old code to cleaner, leaner, semantic markup.
•Use JavaScript for any client-side interactive needs.
•Work with the QA team to validate submitted projects and makes changes according to their requests.
•Make fixes on any minor issues on Web sites.
•Study and research Web Standards and Accessibility for improving website usability.
•Study new XHTML/CSS/JavaScript techniques that can be utilized on the website.
•Follow-up on day-to-day projects and tasks with Project Managers.
•Attend Web Team meetings.

Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or related experience.
•Minimum 5 years experience in standards based Web development.
•Minimum 3 years experience of Web development within a template based content management system (CMS) environment.
•Minimum 2 years experience of Web development within an ecommerce platform and environment.
•Intermediate to strong Photoshop knowledge, must know how to take Photoshop comp files, slice, and export image files for email and Web.
•Strong understanding of image optimization techniques and tools for smallest image file size for emails and Web.
•Strong working experience in coding Web standard coding practices and front-end development languages, including but not limited to hand coding XHTML, shorthand CSS2, XML, XSLT, and jQuery JavaScript framework.
•Must be able to code HTML 4 table-based emails that utilize current email standards to ensure consistent end user experience regardless of email client or platform.
•Must be able to test and validate emails display and function consistently in all standard email clients, browsers, and platforms using our test environments, including mobile devices.
•Must be able to test and validate that Web pages display and function consistently in all Web browsers and platforms using our test environments.
•Strong attention to detail and well organized.
•Good usability understanding and knowledge.
•Proficient and fast on the computer, Mac and/or PC.
•Bilingual is a plus.

Other Skills that are a plus:
•Experience working on ecommerce platforms such as MarketLive, ByDesign, Magento, etc.
•Experience working on CMS platforms such as Liferay, Expression Engine, or MarketLive.
•Experience working on an Email Service Provider (ESP) platforms such as Epsilon DREAM, Mail Chimp, Constant Contact, etc.
•Experience setting up A/B and multivariate tests using Omniture’s Test & Target platform.
•Experience using Subversion SVN file management system.
•Working within a PHP, JSP, Java, and Velocity developer environment.
•Flash action scripting – intermediate to advanced.
•Strong information architecture experience.
