Web Strategist

Job Summary:
Serve as a visionary and Web Strategist for various solutions areas, such as information management, Web content management and collaboration for public facing web site, and surveying landscape and market for solution insights, direction, best practices, vendors and methodologies. The qualifies candidate must have a strong experience in capturing visions, develop Web Strategies, defining roadmaps and high level solution architectures of highly integrated, mission critical, scalable, robust and secure web interactive solutions involving integration of CMS, single sign-on (SSO), Search engine marketing (SEO/SEM) , Web Analytics, emerging media and Social media campaign development. The qualified candidate must also be able to effectively translate client products, services and branding strategies and create innovative approaches and solutions that align with those strategies. The ideal Web Strategist will have a solid portfolio that showcases examples of recent digital interactive work for high-visibility campaigns for well-known brands. You must also be available for some travel to client sites.
Essential Functions:
• Act as the digital media evangelist and develop web design strategy, meeting with clients, crafting business requirement requirements
• Develop and deepen relationships with key stakeholders that advise the Marketing team to achieve marketing goals.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and investigate how to leverage Microsoft technology to support those requirements in developing a solution
• Lead and manage a Web Interactive team and contract resources to architect and develop a major new web architecture integrating all of Guidance software public facing sites into a more uniform, consistent and cross functional user experience, including the developer staff mentoring
• Lead the evaluation, fit-gap analysis, selection, and potential implementation of a new CMS
• Partners with technical team to ensure designs meet requirements and development standards
• Manages the design standards and holds developers, portal stakeholders and content authors accountable to those standards and creates and adapts designs for customers
• Thorough understanding, ideally with hands-on experience, of key aspects of digital solution delivery especially: Information Architecture, Usability, Branding, and other essential components of digital marketing content and design creation
• Lead brainstorming sessions and strategic discussions with internal and client teams
• Integrate digital media approaches with traditional communications tactics
• Articulate client's brand attributes and ensure they are incorporated into marketing recommendations and creative
Essential Requirements:
• Use search engine optimization (SEO) practices to raise exposure and awareness of customer web sites
• Establish key performance indicators and metrics and track achievement via comprehensive set of success metrics.
• Identifies applicable external standards, and tailors/interprets them as needed to meet business needs and culture.
• Estimate software development tasks given a set of requirements and assumptions; ability to perform/work with Project Managers to develop task-level project plans and proposals
• Understanding of the software development life-cycle, including both traditional large-scale waterfall as well as Agile and Scrum-based models (Scrum Certification is a plus)
• 7 Years of experience in online art direction, design, development, usability and marketing
• 4 Years of experience in Web content and web design and development packages such as (Web 2.0, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Macromedia Flash, DreamWeaver, HTML, CSS, PHP, JSP)
• 7 Years of experience in Client management - relationship building with internal and external partners
• 7 Years of experience in Direct management of creative teams (i.e. designers, copywriters and developers) as well as cross-functional work groups
• 7 Years of experience in Presenting ideas/concepts to mid and upper management stakeholders
