Job Description
The User Experience Designer creates customer-focused designs that foster exciting and intuitive client-interactions with Telvent and its products. This position will work closely with product owners, developers and QA to design and articulate product vision, workflows and interaction models. The User Experience Designer will shepherd products through the visual design and development process and ensure the final product fulfills the vision of the design.
The User Experience Designer will:
• Design user interfaces that not only look great, but are intuitive and streamline the workflow of the product.
• Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes.
• Test designs using simple prototypes and wireframes.
• Perform customer usability testing when necessary.
• Present design suggestions to the team and to management.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA to refine interaction and implement designs.
• Advocate for and deliver design excellence in everything we make.
• Iterate in fast-paced design-build cycles.
Position Requirements
• Degree in information architecture, human/computer interaction, related area of study or equivalent work experience.
• A solid understanding of designing user interfaces with complex interaction.
• Strong conceptual thinking.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain your design decisions.
• Ability to accept constructive feedback and make adjustments.
• Experience with design and mockup tools such as Photoshop and Expression Blend.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and XAML a plus.
• Experience with Agile software development process a plus.
