We are seeking a Senior Producer for a ground breaking technology based K-2 Reading Program. The Senior Producer will collaborate with the editorial and design teams on activity wireframes and UX for the instructional software. The Senior Producer will also partner with developers and the QA team to manage schedules, problem solve issues, and keep operations organized and moving forward.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
• Focused specifically on the student software experience the Senior Producer will collaborate with instructional and technical leadership within Scholastic Education to define and develop the product.
• Ensure that goals for the development of the product are clearly conveyed through educational design, interface and navigation, and instructional features of the products.
• Represent the User Experience, translating requirements into defined specifications.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal Senior Producer candidate has led or worked collaboratively on a software development team on school-based education products that incorporate adaptive technologies, assessment, and individualized technology driven instruction.
This work may have been for a supplemental publisher, an educational technology company whose emphasis is on reading product development, at a basal text publisher, or at an outside development house with a strong emphasis on developing applications for the educational market.
Ability to understand the real users' mindset and relentless dedication to detail are key for this position. We’re looking for self-starters - candidates who can jump in quickly without a lot of direction, and learn by asking the right questions.

• Thorough understanding of the SDLC process and familiarity with the AGILE development process
• Practical understanding of teaching and learning, educational trends and reading research within US school/district contexts
