User Experience Designer

Wolfram|Alpha is looking for a passionate User Experience Designer to help create great user experiences for web and mobile projects.
Responsibilities:
• Translate user needs and business requirements into clear specifications
• Create user stories, flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes
• Develop and maintain detailed product specifications and design patterns
• Analyze user data to better inform priorities and design
• Plan and execute UX testing of prototypes and monitor user feedback
• Research the latest technologies, best practices, and online trends and provide recommendations for the team
Competencies:
• Passion for simple and intuitive design
• Team player with excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience in designing interaction for web and mobile apps
• Expert knowledge of interface design standards and best practices
• Experience with user-experience research methods and usability testing
• Experience in using OmniGraffle, Axure, or other prototyping tools
• Attention to detail and a critical eye for visual design
• Flexibility and very good organizational skills
• Ability to work with multiple projects and balance multiple priorities
• Experience and/or knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Requirements:
• At least three years of professional experience in designing interactions
• Degree in interaction design, computer science, cognitive science, human computer interaction, psychology, or similar training
• An available portfolio or samples of work
