Overview
We are looking for a talented and experienced User Experience Designer to lead the UX research and design process for Lancope’s network security solutions. You will be responsible for driving cross-team collaboration with our product managers, developers and customers to shape the future product look and feel. You will need to think strategically, be creative, and negotiate design solutions according to user-centered design principles that align with business goals and user needs. Using your abilities to identify new opportunities and generate innovative ideas, you will own, envision, communicate and lead the design direction to make our industry leading network security products even more successful.

Responsibilities

• Create and direct excellent user experience design and high-level product decisions by transforming broad ideas and requirements for optimal functionality into useful mocks and meaningful visualizations.
• Collaborate with other designers, customer research, product PMs, usability and design validation to plan and execute design activities through-out the software development lifecycle.
• Create user requirement specifications, including personas, scenarios, task analysis, flowcharts and organization and navigation models, detailed wireframes, mockups and interactive prototypes to effectively. communicate the user experience and user interface elements.
• Lead research efforts to understand user needs such as contextual inquiry, usability testing, focus groups, web analytics and competitor evaluations.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience designing large, complex websites or desktop applications that integrate database-driven content.
• Strong interaction design and communication skills; solid understanding of UX principles.
• Experience designing and executing user research efforts under various methodologies including usability testing,
  contextual inquiry and blended approaches.
• Bachelor’s or masters degree or equivalent experience in product design, interaction design, or human-computer interaction.
• Experience in creating wire-frame prototypes and building information, architecture and interaction models.
• Demonstrated wireframe and task flow development expertise in any tool (paper + pen, balsamiq, OmniGraffle, etc.).
