Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Terralever is looking for an innovative, proven User Experience (UX) specialist who can translate complex business problems into effective User Interface (UI) solutions. The UX candidate will participate in discussions with key internal stakeholders and clients, and design creative and highly usable interfaces that meet the needs of the agency and our various clients. Our ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a mix analytical and creative skills. This candidate lives and breathes UX and has a serious knack for solving complicated end-user needs in a seamless fashion. Additional responsibilities include:
Interact with clients and project teams to help identify usability goals and/or issues
Develop creative UI solutions that simplify complex workflows and address key client needs
Work with project teams to refine concepts, create prototypes and conduct usability testing
Present UX concepts and solutions in a clear and effective manner
Collaborate with content strategists, programmers, information architects and account management team to ensure the strategy, design and development of the project stays in line with the client's core business objectives, while focusing on the overall experience of their users
Create annotated wireframes, use cases, scenarios, prototypes, storyboards and design specs
Maintain a meticulous attention to detail
Qualifications:
Excellent listening, oral and written communications skills
3-5 years of experience as an information architect, interaction designer, user experience designer or similar
Experience conducting or participating in user interviews and usability testing
Deep understanding of best practices surrounding user experience
Extensive knowledge of web design and usability standards
Ability to create rapid prototypes for collecting customer feedback using the Agile methodology
Strong user intuition and user-centric design skills
Desire to constantly learn and improve
MS Visio, OmniGraffle, Photoshop and/or Illustrator experience
Mac and PC platform proficiency
Passionate about the latest trends in interactive experiences across a variety of mediums (Web, Mobile, iPad, social networking, etc) with a strong desire for innovation
Outstanding portfolio of proven and innovative work
Compensation:
The chosen candidate will receive a base salary based on experience and track record. Generous health and employee benefits are available in addition to a matching 401K.
