Senior Usability/Interaction Engineer
The role of the Usability/Interaction Engineer is to assist in the design of compelling, progressive and vibrant software/web/mobile user interfaces that facilitate intuitive interaction and support presentation of information to a variety of users in an informed and clear manner.
Role & Responsibilities:
As a Senior Usability/Interaction Engineer you shall be able to:
•Take responsibility and drive product usability through the whole lifecycle, from early definition and analysis, to customer installation.
•Create prototypes, workflow drawings, GUI sketches, etc.
•Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with anyone from UX colleagues, product managers, clients to development teams to develop compelling designs.
•Gather user feedback (through usability testing and more) and successfully integrate the results in product design.
•Take a leadership role in guiding the teams in the development of world class user focused applications
•Participate in work to enhance the company’s ways of working.
Qualifications & Experience:
•Bachelor's degree in Information Design, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field strongly preferred.
•5+ years experience as an information architect, interaction designer, or experience designer (or similar role).
•Experience of user-centered design techniques including user research.
•Strong skills in learning and understanding complex business technologies.
•Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology.
•Excellent English skills in oral and written communication and presentation.
•Detail-oriented, able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team environment.
•Proficiency with relevant software tools (For example Illustrator, Visio, Photoshop, Axure, Balsamiq)
You must be able to demonstrate and describe a portfolio of IA and UX projects to which you have made a significant contribution.
