Position Summary:
We are looking for a driven, focused and experienced UX designer who will be part of a talented UX team, responsible for designing the next generation of simulation software.
As a part of this team you will be integral to the design and development process. The ability to juggle multiple projects and design ideas at the same time is essential.
The ideal candidate possesses experience working closely with product teams and can easily insert herself/himself into the development process to deliver high quality UX.
You will be creating innovative UX concepts, generating storyboards and conceptualizing designs. You will work closely with other UX designers, researchers and the development team.
The ANSYS User Experience team is a group of talented design and research UX professionals. We work across a range of products and employ various UX methods to deliver useful,
usable and desirable product experiences.
Essential Job Functions/Accountabilities:
- Work with other UX team members to come up with cutting edge user interfaces that are engaging, desirable and most importantly usable
- Combine engineering know how and the basics of usability to help develop workflows that become basis of UI design
- Create, evaluate and modify prototypes to support evolving software application development
- Provide graphics, user interface designs and visual layout for applications
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in interaction and graphic design
- Expertise in creative applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe In-Design
- BS in Engineering or background is required
- BS/BA in interaction design, fine arts, graphic design is highly desirable
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS and HTML5

- Ability to articulate aesthetic and visual design and user experience design principles
- Detail-oriented and highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
