Full-time User Experience (UX) Designer

A Cloud-based Business Productivity Suite, is looking for an experienced UX Designer who is passionate about User-centered design approaches, interaction design excellence, transforming customer data into elegant and usable solutions and bringing your own and other's designs to life through prototyping.

In this role, you'll be called upon to work closely with Researchers, Writers, Project Managers and other Designers to create world-class UX designs as well as prototypes. Your ability to partner with other Designers on the team to produce rich interactive prototypes that help drive toward the best solution will be important!

This is a 3-12 month Contingent/Temporary position in Redmond, WA, through Volt Technical & Creative Communication, which is headquartered in Redmond, WA. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contingent/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top-rated IT companies in the Pacific Northwest.

You must have excellent interpersonal skills to work within a highly dynamic and collaborative team. The ideal candidate will be an End-User Advocate, driving User needs and goals into both creative and pragmatic design solutions. They will also be experienced in the application of User-centered philosophies, interaction design Best Practices as well as the latest in Web Technology (HTML/CSS/Jquery). Qualified candidates must demonstrate the ability to execute work with a high standard for quality within time and technical constraints amid competing priorities and ambiguous situations.

User Experience Designer Qualifications:
• Education: BA/BS or higher degree in Interaction Design or related discipline (Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Visual Design) preferred - experience can substitute for degree.
• 4 years of professional experience in interactive design experience.
• Strong Visual Design/layout/typography skillset is preferred.
• Mastery of Photoshop and Illustrator.
• High level of comfort Prototyping with Web-based technologies, CSS, HTML, JQuery, AJAX etc.
• Ability to document User Experience and Interactivity through wireframes, flowcharts, screenshots, design specifications and demos.
• Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate Designs.
• Strong problem solving, creative, communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience working with other User Experience disciplines (User Research, Visual Design, and User Assistance), Technical disciplines (PM, Dev, Test), as well as Business and Marketing.
