UX Consultant

JPL is seeking a UX Consultant to join our exceptional Digital Marketing team. As a UX Consultant, you will be responsible for the development of research-based strategy and information architecture deliverables spanning desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms. You will collaborate with JPL’s strategist and technical leads to advise, define, and document ideal user experience. You will be a partner to the creative designers and copywriters during creative execution ensuring the way programs and platforms are architected helps further clients’ strategic goals. You will also provide support for Developers during the implementation phase.
Successful UX Consultant qualities will include:
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and a team oriented attitude.
• High empathy with excellent collaboration skills.
• Experience with various customer research methodologies and the ability to perform customer research with a wide variety of people.
• Ability to understand and create specific sites for specific users.
• Ability to separate research findings into compelling presentations.
• Ability to translate observations and insights into foundations for developing a strategic user experience.
• Advanced knowledge of usability best practices.
• Advanced experience in computer based technologies (desktop, smartphones, tablets).
• Ability to calculate the ROI of usability.
• Experience working in an agency setting with at least 2 years of experience working in a position with UX accountability. Must have a portfolio of UX work.
• Degree in related field preferably in human-computer interaction (e.g., Human Factors Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Applied Psychology Human Factors, Software Ergonomics, or Industrial Engineering).
