UX Design Director

Overview:
We are currently looking for a UX design director to join a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture to lead important initiatives. The ideal candidate for this role is responsible for executing and contributing to strategic vision for the next generation of our clients trading platform. You'll be responsible for creating efficient and enjoyable experiences for their traders. You'll work closely with internal clients, bringing them into the design process, so you can understand and apply their needs and translate them into experiences their customers will love.
Responsibilities
Build strong relationships within the UX Design team and beyond.
Ensure design team efforts are in sync with stake holder's expectations and budget
Manage across silos within a matrixed organization
Collaborate with information architects, visual designers, content strategists, researchers, usability specialists, and creative directors to tackle complex projects of varying size
Develop user profiles and scenarios
Define site/application structures and direct the creation of design deliverables
Work closely with our usability test team and refine designs and prototypes
Partner with our development team.
Education/Experience
Years of experience as an information architect, interaction designer, experience designer or a similar role
Proven success in creative direction.
Strong Brokerage knowledge.
Knowledge of, or desire to learn, technical stuff
Familiarity with large, transaction-oriented websites
