Full-time Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Interaction Design/UX/Web Design

at Anders Arvidsson in Jönköping, Sweden

The School of Engineering, JTH, is one of four schools that are part of Jönköping University. The Department of Computer Science and Informatics provides education programmes in subjects ranging from Graphical Design to IT Infrastructure and Software Engineering, and conducts research in associated areas. We have recently introduced the Bachelor programme New Media Design and the Masters programme User Experience Design and IT Architecture.
Our goal is to educate students to become familiar with both design and the technology on which it is implemented. If you are intrigued by the intersection between design and technology, this position is for you.

The job consists of education and supervision at our Bachelor and Masters programmes.
Core areas of education:

UX-Design
User Interface Design
Information Architecture
Web Programming
Besides the core courses, and depending on the candidate’s background, additional courses could be included, such as Graphic Design, Client-Side Programming or Android Development.

For candidates with a Ph.D., research will be part of the duties. Today we are conducting research in the areas of Data Science, Enterprise Architecture and Semantic Technologies. We have an ambition to integrate UX-Design with other areas in cross-discipline projects, but we also encourage collaboration with other research groups within the University, e.g. Information Architecture.

Since the University is managed as a foundation, we have a very agile culture with the possibility of fast development for people with spirit and ambition.
